Spicy Rice                                             

If you love all things tasty you will really love these Spices.

Shopping List

  • 1 400g Tin of Boiled Chick Peas
  • 1 Cup of Basmati Rice (200g)
  • 1 Small Onion
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • 3 tbs Oil
 

 

To Make Spicy Rice

  1. Thoroughly rinse and drain the Rice.
  2. Chop the Onion then heat the Oil in a large Frying Pan (with a lid).
  3. Fry the Onions until translucent without the lid then add the contents of the Spice sachet and fry for 1 min.
  4. Next, add the washed and drained Chick Peas and fry for 3-4 mins.
  5. Add 2 cups (500ml) of Water and bring to the boil then add the Butter and pour in the Rice, stir once and cover with a lid and cook until all the Water has absorbed and the Rice is fully cooked.
  6. To keep the Rice piping hot cover the lid with a clean Tea Towel and replace.
  7. Serve with any one of our fantastic Curries.
