Korai Hot Curry

To make a hot Korai Curry

Seven different Whole and Ground Spices make this a really tasty Curry.  A separate sachet of Garam Masala gives the dish gives the dish exta heat should you want it.

Shopping List

  • 500g Any Meat or Veg
  • 2 Large Onions
  • 4 tbs Oil
  • 220g Tin of Chopped Tomatoes
  • Fresh Coriander (Optional)

To Make Korai

  1. Cube the Meat or chop Vegetables, then chop 1 Onion.
  2. Heat the Oil in a Wok and fry the Onion until light Brown.
  3. Add your Meat or Veg and fry for 10 mins.
  4. Add Sachet 1 and fry for 2-3 mins.
  5. Add the tin of chopped Tomatoes and cook for 10 mins, stirring now and then until all the moisture has evaporated.
  6. Watch for the Oil separating in the Wok and at that point add 1/2 a cup (125 ml) of Water.
  7. Slice your 2nd Onion into rings and add to the Wok. 
  8. Cover with a lid and cook gently for 20 mins until everthing is fully cooked and the onion rings are soft.
  9. Add Sachet 2 and cook for 3 mins then add chopped fresh coriander leaves.

Chilli Powder, Garam Masala, Whole Coriander Seeds, White Cumin, Ginger, Chilli Flakes, Salt, Garlic Granules, Turmeric
