Vindaloo Hot Curry

To make a hot Vindaloo Curry

Twelve ingredients including whole and ground Spices add up to Hot Stuff.

Heat and taste is Guaranteed from this Curry.

Shopping List

  • 500-600g Any Meat or Veg
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 4 tbs Oil
  • 1 tbs Tomato Puree
  • 400g Tin of chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 Lime

To Make Vindaloo

  1. Cube the Meat or chop Vegetables then finely chop the Onion.
  2. Heat the Oil in a Large Pan or Wok then add the Onion and fry on a medium heat until soft and Golden. (approx 10 mins).
  3. Add the sachet of Spices and fry gently for 2 mins. 
  4. Add the Tomato Puree and fry for 1 min.
  5. Add the Meat or Veg and 100 ml of Water and the Juice of 1 Lime along with the 400g tin of chopped Tomatoes. (mash them first to create a smoother sauce).
  6. Continue frying for 20 mins on a medium heat until the meat is fully cooked, the Water has evaporated and the sauce has thickened.

Garam Masala, Paprika, Chilli Powder, Ground Cumin, Ground Coriander, Turmeric, Brown Sugar, Salt, Cinnamon Powder, Garlic Granules, Cloves, Ginger
