Dopiaza Medium Curry

To make a Dopiaza Curry

Nine ingredients make up this Medium Strength Curry.

Shopping List

  • 500g Any Meat or Veg
  • 4 Small Onions
  • 4 Tbs Oil
  • 2 Tbs Lemon Juice
  • 2 Mixed Peppers
  • 220g Tin Chopped Tomatoes
  • Fresh Coriander (Optional)

To Make Dopiaza

  1. Finely chop 2 Onions and chop the remaining 2 onions into quarters.
  2. Chop the mixed peppers into chunky pieces. 
  3. Next, cube the Meat or chop the vegetables
  4. Heat the Oil in a non-stick pan and add sachet 1. Heat gently for 1-2 mins then add all the onions and peppers and coat in the spices. Cook gently until soft.
  5. Now add the meat or veg and stir. Continue cooking for 10 minutes to seal the meat then add sachet 2 along with the Lemon Juice.  
  6. Add the chopped tomatoes and cover the pan with a lid and simmer gently for 15-20 mins until the meat is fully cooked.
  7. Before serving add the chopped fresh Coriander
