Balti Passanda Curry

To make a Balti Passanda at home

Ten ingredients including whole and ground spices make up this dish.

The bag includes a separate sachet for you to marinade. A truly gorgeous medium strength Curry!

Shopping List

  • 450g Any Meat or Vege alternative
  • 2 Medium Onions
  • 4 tbs Oil
  • 220g Tin of chopped Tomatoes
  • 4 tbs Single Cream
  • Low Fat Natural Yoghurt
  • 1 Green Pepper
  • Fresh Coriander (Optional)

To Make Balti Passanda

  1. Cut the Meat or Vege alternative into strips.
  2. In a large Bowl or Dish add 4 tbs of Natural Low Fat Yoghurt and the contents of Sachet 1 then mix thoroughly. 
  3. Next, add the Meat or Vege alternative.
  4. Cover with Cling Film and refrigerate (ideally overnight).
  5. Next, chop the Onions and Green Peppers into chunky pieces. 
  6. Heat the Oil in a Wok or Non Stick Pan then add the Onions and Peppers cook gently until soft.
  7. Add the contents of Sachet 2 to the Wok or Pan and stir fry for 2 mins then add the chopped Tomatoes (mash them first to create a smoother sauce). 
  8. Into the Pan add the marinade mixture along with 200 ml of Water. 
  9. Stir thoroughly and cook on a medium heat until the Meat/Vege alternative is fully cooked stirring often.
  10. Next, add the 4 tbs of Single Cream and stir (If the sauce becomes too thick add more Water). 
  11. Add finely chopped Fresh Coriander Leaves and serve.
  12. Tastes great with our Spicy Rice.
